11th September 2010:
It’s spring! And it’s Showtime! This is the time the country folks come to the city to display their animals and produce. In Willunga you can purchase prime country meats every day and every Saturday the freshest fruit and vegetables direct from dedicated Fleurieu Peninsula growers.

Visit Willunga where you will be in the country (as opposed to the country in the city), and can enjoy all of the above, plus more, if you visit the Willunga Quarry Market Saturday 11 September between 9am and 1pm. Savour the view of the Southern Mount Lofty Range and the tranquilly of this delightful semi rural township.

The products at the Willunga Quarry Market are diverse. Plants that are well grown and sold by experienced horticulturists who know their products, the soil types their plants will flourish in and can advise on fertilizing, mulching and watering.
There are growers specialising in growing Australian natives, salvias, sweet peas, tuberous begonias, geraniums, seedlings…. and so the list goes on. You will receive service superior to any garden shop.
Revamped recycled adult clothing, also children’s clothing, aprons and dolls clothes, functional hand made pottery, and Australian timber kitchen and giftware.
Other talented traders are making silver and glass jewellery. Some of our traders visit Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and India and return with hand picked products from these faraway places. There is so much more to discover at this country market.
If you live in the Adelaide Hills, Cape Jervois, Victor Harbour or the Southern suburbs Willunga is an ideal place to meet family and friends. Hope to meet you and your family at the Willunga Quarry Market, on the second Saturday of every month.

Willunga Quarry Market is opposite the Willunga Farmers Market, on Main Road, or enter via Aldinga Road or Railway Terrace.
