12th July 2008:
Willunga Quarry Market May News:
Winter is the ideal season for hobbies such as spinning and knitting and bead work. Coloured sheep, angora and mohair fleeces, for spinners, some pre spun yarn for knitters and craft persons with crochet skills, will be on sale at the next market. The bead enthusiast will find a selection of beads and accessories. Enquire at the Information Tent for directions.

If your vision of winter bliss is to curl up by the fire with a good book and hibernate until spring, you had better buy a bag full of books. Whilst browsing you will discover a good selection of second hand books on sale through out the market. If there is a specific title you are seeking then ask Dave, in the middle isle, if he can locate the book for you.

Regular shoppers stock up on fresh and homemade produce. Be early for free range eggs. You will also find some comfort food such as coconut ice, fudge and the healthier alternative, popcorn.

Whatever the season, or the reason, shopping at the Willunga Quarry Market is always an enjoyable experience. For comfort, be sure to dress according to the weather forecast. Select some refreshments, take a seat at one of the tables and whilst you are enjoying a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a bacon and egg sandwich or a cinnamon and sugar dipped hot donut , look up at the green, tree covered hills and enjoy the moment, or just watch the world amble past.

There is so much more for sale at the Willunga Quarry Market, come and discover for yourself on Saturday 12 July between 9am and 1pm. Located on Willunga Recreation Park grounds, enter the Market from Main and Aldinga Roads or Railway Terrace. Linger on after the market and explore the delightful, township of Willunga, on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
